Hi Rose,
Just to let you know that Arjan has made an official recommendation of you/ your company to Safmarine. We actually worked with 6 agents to help us find an apartment and none really listened to what our needs were. Most actually gave up after they saw our extensive wish list and all gave us a feeling they were not really interested in "short-stay" clients. I hope you can work with more Safmarine expats in the future. Your personal approach really worked for us. We will also be happy to recommend you to other people outside Safmarine that are looking for an apartment.
By the way, are you on linked-in? If so, I will add you to my professional network so people can find you easier.
Kind regards,
Hedwig Rovers |

Hi Rose,
I am back at work today after two very enjoyable weeks in Cape Town. The house was a great success, thanks. It's olde worlde, but charming for that, and Nanana, the maid, was a real treasure.
Thanks for your help, and a belated happy new year to you too.
Philip

Hi Rose,
Best wishes for 2009 for you and your family! These are our findings of the appartment. The style and decorations are lovely. The furniture has been carefully chosen and the interior designer has definitely done a fantastic job in creating space. The views from the balcony are mesmerising. The sea is like an ever changing painting. One day it will be calm, the next there will be huge crashing waves. We saw whales almost every day from the end of september onward. We also went to Hermanus 2 times but although the whales come much closer there I'm pretty sure we saw much more whales on a daily basis from our balcony. We also saw large schools of dolphins (100+) regularly. We cooked every day and found that the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans (although a wok would have been nice) The bathrooms were lovely. The bath is large (according to European standards) and comfortable. The lighting above the bath makes for a truely relaxing bathing experience. The shower in the 2nd bathroom was great. Especially the design.
The beds are comfortable. And it's wonderfull to be able to see both the sea as well as Lions head while lying in the masterbeadroom.
From the appartment you are in walking distance to 3 supermarkets (Checkers/ Woolworths food/ Spar). The new Plaza da Luz has some nice shops and a Vida e Cafe. Very conveniet. A little further down the road is a larger Woolworths and also some lovely speciality shops such as The Main Ingredient and a luxury flower shop. The area of Sea Point that we stayed in seems like a village in a city. It is very easy to get into the city itself either by your own car, a cab or even on foot.
We didn't miss having a pool in the complex because of the Pavillion which is 2 minutes walk from the appartment. It has 4 pools and opens very early every morning. I think Arjan sometimes went as early as 6:30. In the evenings we went for a run on the boulevard/ promenade and at the weekends we regularly walked to Camps bay (45 min) or Clifton (20 min). Very necessary to work off those extra kg's that we gained sampeling the wine we bought directly from the various wine estates.
I would definitely recommend the appartment to couples/ singles with a fast-paced life-style. Please feel free to forward my e-mail address to anyone who might want some additional information.
Let me know if you have anyone looking for a similar seize 2 bedroom appartment 10 minutes walk from the sea in The Hague with a garden and overlooking the dunes. :-)
Kind regards, Hedwig
