Downstairs comprises of the large living area, kitchen (with full utensil complement) and 2 bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bath. Large balcony with views of Signal Hill and the swimming pool in the raised courtyard. Security is tight: basement parking, electronic surveillance and micro-chip access points. An on-site laundry means never having to say you're sorry for a lacklustre wardrobe again.

Step outside and across Buitengracht Street and you will arrive at the threshhold of Heritage Square: a well preserved bit of old Cape Town that houses some really good eating and drinking places. Try  Caveau Wine Bar, we love it.
